Life Sciences and Healthcare to the USA
Join the next Going Global Trade Mission – Life Sciences and Healthcare to the USA. Expressions of interest open on 10 November 2025 and close on 11 January 2026 at 12:00PM AEDT.
About the event
The Bio International Convention is one of the world’s largest life sciences conferences, bringing together global health companies and senior decision-makers for a week of high-value engagement in San Diego.
The USA is the powerhouse in life sciences innovation. Alone, it accounts for 36% of global biotechnology market revenue, which is slated to reach USD $5.7 trillion by 2034. The USA produces about 20% of the world’s pharmaceuticals.
Consumer demand for advanced health solutions is strong in the USA, with per capita health spending double that of other OECD countries. There continues to be strong growth, driven by high consumer awareness, demand for self-medication, and advanced infrastructure.
An ageing population, widespread chronic disease, and high medical costs will also continue to drive demand for health innovation in the market. The number of Americans aged 65+ is projected to increase from 58 million to 82 million by 2050, demonstrating a massive demographic shift that drives up the need for long-term care and medical spending.
