How fees are calculated
Fee amounts are valid for the 2026-27 financial year. Fees may increase in line with CPI at the start of each financial year. The updated fee amounts will apply when you next renew your licence.
Most fees include a non-refundable processing fee. If you receive a refund because your application is refused or withdrawn, the refund will not include the processing fee.
If you lodge online, you’ll receive a discount of 10% or $5 off the processing fee– whichever is greater. The total fee shown in the fee tables includes the discount where available.
Calculating fees for multiple places of business
If you have multiple places of business, you will need to pay the fixed fee and compensation fund contribution fee for each place of business. You only need to pay the processing fee once for all your places of business.
A mobile workshop (motor vehicle) is counted as a place of business.

Add an additional place of business to a licence
There is no fee to add an additional place of business to a licence. When you next renew the licence, you will be charged the fixed component fee and contribution fee for each place of business listed on the licence (including any places you have added).

Remove condition to deal on a wholesale basis only
If you want to remove the condition to deal on a wholesale basis only from your licence, you will need to pay a compensation fund contribution for each place of business. The contribution fee is pro-rated based on the number of years remaining on the licence when you apply to remove the condition.
