Anyone can apply to Local Land Services to request a property information search. These requests are often made by solicitors, conveyancers, brokers, agents, or the general public when purchasing a property.
A Property Enquiry Certificate will be issued to certify the accuracy of the information supplied.
What property information can be requested?
You can request a property search for information on:
- Local Land Services annual rates that may be outstanding
- animal health issues (adverse affectations)
- chemical residues (adverse affectations)
- any orders that have been issued relating to the land (contact your local office).
How to request a property enquiry certificate
Choose the type of property search request that suits your needs.
- Single Property Enquiry Certificate request
- Use the following form to request a single property information search for either outstanding rates or adverse affectations.
- This search will cost $60.
- You will receive one Property Enquiry Certificate.
- Combined Property Enquiry Certificate request
- Use the combined search request form if you need information on both outstanding rates and adverse affectations (this is the most common request when purchasing a property).
- This search will cost $120.
- You will receive two Property Enquiry Certificates (these may be issued separately).
Submit a single property enquiry certificate request
A separate request is required for each holding. You can submit this form more than once.
