July 2026 project update

In this update, we’re making steady progress on the final bridge, preparing the tunnel portals for the application of mock rock treatments, and crushing the last remaining material from our largest cut site near West Korora Road.

In our latest photobook, you’ll notice the project is reaching an exciting turning point shifting from heavy earthwork to asphalt and onto the finishing touches that bring everything to life. Across the site, progress is now defined by the details. Noise walls are rising, plants are growing, and fauna furniture is being installed to help animals cross over or under the highway safely. All the tunnel buildings are now in place, marking a significant milestone for the project.  Barriers, guard rail and streetlighting make it all feel a little more real and our tunnels are eagerly awaiting a mock rock face lift.  We’re slowly moving from construction to completion and revealing the final shape of what’s to come.
