Repair work is currently underway. We expect construction to be complete mid-2027.

Businesses in Lithgow, the Hartley Valley and Mount Victoria are still open. They can be accessed by all vehicles.

About the project

Victoria Pass is closed due to a defect in the road over Mitchell's Causeway on the Great Western Highway. The closure impacts all highway traffic between Mount Victoria and Lithgow.
