Accreditation audit reports

The purpose of NESA audits

NESA's audits make sure that decisions about gaining and maintaining accreditation in NSW are consistent at the levels of:

• Proficient Teacher
• Highly Accomplished Teacher
• Lead Teacher.

The audits provide confidence that accreditation decisions align consistently and comply with:

• Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (the Standards)
• NSW Teacher Accreditation Manual (the TA Manual).

All audit report information is deidentified.

How the audits are used

NESA uses information from the audit report to:

• develop resources and advice
• provide support to improve the consistency of decision-making
• continue our ongoing program of audits
• ensure our monitoring processes support schools and services meet all the accreditation requirements under the TA Manual.

Audit reports

The following audit reports published between 2020-2022 were conducted under the Proficient Teacher Accreditation Policy and Maintenance of Proficient Teacher Accreditation Policy now replaced by the TA Manual.

These reports refer to attestations in the maintenance of Proficient Teacher accreditation. Under the current TA Manual, attestations no longer apply when maintaining Proficient Teacher accreditation.
