What this provision does
This provision supports students who require exam papers printed in large font. The possible sizes are:
- N18 print size on A4 size paper
- N24 print size on A3 size paper
- N36 print size on A3 size paper
The large print papers are mostly printed in portrait orientation, but some stimulus materials or questions may be printed in landscape orientation. Some stimulus materials or questions may also be modified so students can access the questions on the same basis as students using the standard paper.
The grid size for graphs may be increased to 5mm if appropriate.
Who this provision is for
This provision is usually for students who have a vision disability.
How it works on the day
The student receives an exam paper printed in the approved font and paper size. The student may use a visual aid to enlarge the paper further.
What supporting information is needed
Examples of supporting information for this provision include:
- NESA Vision form, usually including a diagnosis of a related condition or disability
- NESA Teacher Comments form
- Student declaration.
