What this provision does
This provision allows students to have a school support staff member to act as their reader or writer in the HSC exams.
Who this provision is for
This provision is usually for students who qualify for a reader or writer but are unable to communicate with them. The student also needs to meet the standard rules for readers and writers.
How it works on the day
A school support staff member will act as the student's reader and/or writer during the HSC exam. The staff member is not allowed to:
- give any verbal or physical prompts to the student
- help the student with the exam content.
The staff member also has to follow all the rules that apply to readers and writers.
