Stage 6 Construction Curriculum Framework Syllabus now based on CPC08v9.4
The Stage 6 Construction Curriculum Framework Parts A and B Syllabuses are now based on version 9.4 of the CPC08 Construction, Plumbing and Services Training Package.

The Stage 6 Construction Curriculum Framework Parts A and B Syllabuses are now based on version 9.4 of the CPC08 Construction, Plumbing and Services Training Package. CPC08v9.4 was released on training.gov.au on 1 May 2017 and had no impact on Construction Framework courses.
Syllabus changes outlined in official notice NESA 10/17 are now in place for all Construction students (ie both students commencing and continuing study in 2018). As a reminder, a summary of the changes are listed below. Parts A and B Syllabuses on the NESA website have been updated to reflect these changes.
- WorkCover NSW was replaced by SafeWork NSW
- CPC31812 Certificate III in Shopfitting was removed – this qualification pathway is available to school-based apprentices through a VET Board Endorsed course
- CPCCSH2002A Use aluminum sections for fabrication has been removed
- CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry replaced CPCOHS1001A
- RIICCM210D Install trench support replaced RIICCM210A
- RIIWHS202D Enter and work in confined spaces replaced RIIOHS202A
- RIIWHS205D Control traffic with a stop-slow bat replaced RIIOHS205A
- RIIWMG203D Drain and dewater civil construction site replaced RIIWMG203A.
In addition, the minimum prescribed learning for examinable units of competency CPCCOHS2001A Apply OHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry and CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry have been combined into the one document titled Safety – HSC requirements and advice. Examination details and specifications are outlined in Section 11 Syllabus Part A and Assessment and Reporting in Construction.
Schools and colleges should consult with their school system and/or Registered Training Organisation (RTO) regarding these changes and delivery of courses from the Construction Curriculum Framework for all their Construction students in 2018. School systems will provide further advice in relation to the general construction induction card (white card).
