Louis - Manager Citizen Philanthropy, Salesforce
My name is Louis Ramos. I am the manager of the citizen philanthropy team for Salesforce here in the Asia-Pacific region. Salesforce is a global leader in the CRM space, which is customer relationship management. We have a whole bunch of different services that help our customers get a 3060 view of how they engage with their customers, whether it be in sales, marketing and commerce. Salesforce a desire to work with schools because we believe that the business is the greatest platform for change. And one of our key focuses is within education and workforce development.
Since the pandemic, the school environment has changed immensely, and it's been harder for us to connect with students.
Jane - Senior Project Officer, Regional Industry Education Partnerships
Salesforce can make a huge impact on school students. And I wanted to find a way to give students right across New South Wales an insight into what it's really like inside the technology industry. I took some time with Louis to understand more about the organization and the opportunities they had to offer.
We co-designed a long term strategy which would allow them to reach a large amount of students right across New South Wales. The first stage was a webinar where over 700 students heard from technology industry experts, including Salesforce, about the exciting careers across the industry and how to access them.
The next stage of this engagement was Future Ready Fest, an innovative one day virtual work experience for over 1600 students right across New South Wales. Students then had the opportunity to apply for a week of work experience in the Salesforce offices.

So the RIEP team are able to streamline the process of co-ordinating the needs and availability of the schools. While our teams here at Salesforce can focus on delivering high impact programs. Because of this, we're able to reach students from Broken Hill all the way to Ulladulla.
Samuel - Year 10 student, Chifley College
My name is Samuel and I'm in year 10. Newton. I felt excited when I heard that I was selected for this work experience week with Salesforce.
It was amazing to see the Salesforce office for the first time today. What I'm most looking forward to this week is meeting other students from other schools, working with Salesforce in workshops and meeting the amazing people at Salesforce.

Because we are connected with every school across New South Wales. Our team understands the current school environment and can design initiatives which take into account the needs of both employers and schools.
Louis
The RIEP team has really allowed us to scale our work and has allowed us to connect with students who would not normally be able to connect with organizations like Salesforce.
I believe impact doesn't happen overnight. It happens over time, and the more engagements that we can have with these students, the more we will help them understand what opportunities are out there for them in the future.
