What’s this about?

The community is invited to provide feedback on the proposed improvements on Mamre Road and Kerrs Road intersection. Transport for NSW is planning safety improvements at the Mamre Road and Kerrs Road intersection, Mount Vernon. These improvements are part of a larger project to make roads safer around the new Western Sydney Airport.

Currently, the Mamre Road and Kerrs Road intersection forms an unsignalised T-junction that has no turning lanes on either of the roads.

Transport proposes the T-junction to become a channelised right turn bay from Mamre Road into Kerrs Road.

A channelised right turn bay is a dedicated lane that lets vehicles turning right stay separate from straight moving traffic. This design helps reduce accidents by giving turning vehicles their own space.
