Water pricing framework for data centres

What’s this about?

The NSW Government has appointed the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) to investigate and make recommendations on the appropriate water pricing and regulatory framework for data centres. 

IPART is seeking feedback on the scope of the review as set out in the draft Terms of Reference. We welcome submissions from all interested stakeholders, including community members, data centre owners and operators, developers, water utilities and Water Industry Competition Act 2006 licensees.

IPART will consider all feedback from stakeholders, and may recommend changes to the Draft Terms of Reference before it is finalised by the NSW Government.
