Quick start guide
Register for an account
- Go to the login pageand select the sign up option.
- Enter your details.
- Read and tick to agree to the terms and conditions and complete the reCAPTCHA.
- Check your email and follow the link to set your password.
If you don’t see the email in your inbox, check your junk or spam folder. Look for an email from donotreply_BCNSW@customerservice.nsw.gov.au.

Log into your account
- Go to the login page and enter your licence number and password.
- Check your email for a one-time code.
- Enter the code on the login screen and select next.
Always enter your licence number exactly as it appears on your licence (no spaces or dashes).

Reset your password
- On the login page, select the forgot password link.
- Enter your licence number.
- Check your email for the unique link and follow the steps to set a new password.

Update your details
- Go to the 'My profile' tab in the top menu to change your phone number, email, or address in BCNSW eCert.
- If you change your email you will need to confirm it within 72 hours using the validation link.
Please note that updating your details in BCNSW eCert will not update your information on the Contractor and Tradesperson Register. To make changes to your register details, visit the Tradesperson certificate page.
