Perimeter Security Procedure

Use this procedure when conducting internal and external perimeter security searches for Youth Justice NSW Centres.

The purpose of this procedure is to provide steps for conducting internal and external perimeter security searches in a Youth Justice NSW centre. 

The procedural steps include:

  • preparing for a search
  • commencing and documenting external searches
  • conducting a primeter search
  • returning to the unit
  • responding to security issues or concerns
  • reporting security issues or concerns
  • handling contraband.
