This year’s NSW Public Sector Values Week will take place from 9 – 13 November 2026 and focus on the theme Living our values to support social cohesion.
Values Week is an annual week with events featuring expert speakers, practical resources, and a dynamic communications toolkit. Throughout the week, NSW public sector employees will learn practical ways to embed the core public sector values - Integrity, Trust, Service and Accountability - in their everyday work to strengthen social cohesion.
The core values form the foundation for the conduct expected of all us as public sector employees. When these values underpin our work, we ensure that every decision we make is aimed at achieving the best outcomes for the people of NSW.
Values Week event
On Tuesday 10 November 2026, there will be a hybrid event focused on practical ways to live our values to support social cohesion. During the event, you’ll hear from:
- Our keynote speaker Anthea Hancocks, CEO of the Scanlon Foundation Research Institute - an independent, not‑for‑profit research institute that serves as a bridge between academic insight and public understanding on issues affecting Australia’s social cohesion.
A panel discussion facilitated by the Public Service Commissioner exploring how to work effectively in environments with differing perspectives, and how we can come together in respectful and constructive ways. The panel will bring together sector leaders who exemplify our core values and will share practical insights on how employees can help foster a more cohesive, inclusive and trusting society.
