Feature
A feature block is a visually distinct area that highlights a specific piece of content or call to action for the audience. The latest news variant is designed to highlight media releases relevant to the content of the page.
When to use the feature block
Do
- Use the feature block on standard content pages or landing pages. On landing pages use the section width that best suits your overall page layout.
- Use only 1 or 2 feature blocks per page.
Only use high-quality images that clearly illustrate the feature. The image should be relevant and help the user understand what the feature is about.
Write clear and concise headings that summarises the feature. The heading should grab the audience's attention and be easy to understand. The heading should be a maximum of 50 characters.
Do use a brief description to provide additional information about the feature. The description should be a maximum of 400 characters.
Include a link for the audience to find out more information. The hard coded default button text is 'Read more'.
Don't
- Don't use a feature block just to create visual interest on the page.
