NSW Health is working closely with the Australian Government to plan and implement a safe and effective COVID-19 vaccination program in NSW. We encourage members of the community who are yet to receive a vaccine to do so by whatever means possible.
NSW Health vaccination clinics and participating general practices and pharmacies across the state are open for COVID-19 vaccination bookings. If you are aged 12 years or older you can book an appointment now.
Vaccination appointments can be made by visiting the COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic Finder. You can also access and directly book an appointment with a general practitioner listed on HotDoc. In addition, COVID Queue may also be useful for people trying to book earlier appointments.
For further information, please visit the NSW Health and National Centre for Immunisation Research and Surveillance websites.
Face mask rules vary depending on the restrictions in place in your area. Please visit the NSW Government website for the rules in your area.
If you cannot wear a face mask because of a disability, physical or mental health illness or condition, you must carry either:
- a medical certificate or letter signed by a registered health practitioner (such as a doctor) or a registered NDIS provider, OR
- a statutory declaration.
Rules and restrictions apply if you have been in an affected area, area of concern or a place of high concern, and are entering or have entered NSW.
If you wish to travel to another state, check the state government website for your destination for the latest information and follow the rules for what you can do in NSW when you return.
If you are travelling to NSW from overseas and are seeking an exemption on medical grounds from the 14-day mandatory hotel quarantine, please visit the NSW Health website.

NSW is trialling a seven-day home quarantine program. This pilot will have around 175 participants, and may include some NSW residents, non-Australian residents, and NSW-based Qantas air crew.
NSW Health is proactively identifying participants and is not accepting applications for the pilot of the program.
The results of the trial will help inform the future expansion of a home quarantine program.
