Death certificate

A death certificate is the official copy of information we hold on the register about a person who has died.

Beneficiaries search (section 50)

When a person dies without a will you can ask us to search our records to see if they have been recorded as a parent to any children. This is know as a section 50 search.

Notifying organisations of a death

You can notify multiple organisations of a death by visiting the Australian Death Notification Service website.
