Penrith Beach is a 100m stretch of sandy shores and sparkling, cool waters at the edge of Western Sydney. With views of the Blue Mountains, the beach is lovely spot a for a refreshing swim, and there's plenty of space for watersports like kayaking and paddleboarding. Built in a former quarry site and set next to the Nepean River, the beach is part of the Western Sydney Lakes water system. In summer, the beach is a community hub, with free water safety programs, learn-to-swim and junior lifesavers workshops, plus skin checks and water confidence education sessions. Penrith Beach is only open during the summer season. Check the website for up-to-date information.
