NSW Motorways

By prioritising the needs of motorists, NSW Motorways is delivering a safer, fairer and more integrated transport system.

How we're delivering a fairer toll road network

Increasing transparency and competition

We will collect and publish information about both public and privately-owned toll roads and services so motorists can make informed choices and get a fairer deal.

Supporting the independent pricing watchdog

We will work closely with the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal by sharing key toll data so it can monitor the Sydney toll road network.

Taking ownership of public toll roads not under private contracts

This gives the NSW Government more control over tolls and customer service. This includes the Western Harbour Tunnel and M6 when they open.

Running toll relief schemes and toll collection

We’re driving toll relief initiatives like the $60 per week toll cap and will take over the existing government toll collection system (E-Toll) to streamline the way you pay and make the system easier to use.

Advocating for motorists

A dedicated Customer Advocate has been appointed be an independent voice representing and championing motorist interests.

Industry toll customer ombudsman

The NSW Tollway Ombudsman has been set up to provide motorists with a single point of contact to escalate complaints about any toll road on the network.

Toll road ownership

NSW toll roads include: Northconnex, Hills M2, Lane Cove Tunnel, WestLink M7, WestConnex M4, Western Harbour Tunnel, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Harbour Tunnel, Cross City Tunnel, Eastern Distributer, M4 and M8 extensions, M12 Motorway, M5 South-West Motorway, M6 Stage 1, WestConnex M8, M5 East and Sydney Gateway.
