Construction work on Pacific Highway, Boambee

The bypass team is continuing working on the Pacific Highway between Sawtell Interchange and Englands Road/Stadium Drive, Boambee. This work includes installing guardrail, wire rope, electrical systems, and tunnel safety structures. This work will be carried out along the western side and the median of the highway. This work will be carried out at night from 6pm to 7am between Monday 6 October and Friday 21 November 2025. Read the notification to find out more.

Out of hours concrete pours for the Shephards Lane bridge

As part of major construction, the Coffs Harbour bypass is continuing to build the Shephards Lane bridge, west of Pearce Drive. From Friday 10 October to Wednesday 17 December 2025, we will be pouring the concrete deck for the bridge. Read the notification to find out more.

Girder deliveries for bridge over North Coast Railway line

The Coffs Harbour bypass is continuing to build the new bridge over the North Coast Railway Line, at Shephards Lane west of Pearce Drive. Our next step involves installing 70 precast concrete super-T girders using a 600-tonne crane. The girders weigh about 75 tonnes each and are about 35 metres long. They will be delivered to site using oversize, over mass trucks and pilot vehicles, from Macksville via the Pacific Highway, Bray Street, Mackays Road, Don Patterson Drive and Shephards Lane. Temporary closure of Englands Road, North Boambee

The project is removing the traffic island and installing pavement on the corner of the Pacific Highway and Englands Road, North Boambee. To do this work we will temporarily close Englands Road (east). Road users will be detoured through Isles Drive (north). Read more in the notification.

Milling and laying asphalt on Coramba Road, west of the interchange
