Stage 5 VET Board Endorsed courses

VET courses contribute to the broad education of students. They have the capacity to engage and challenge students to maximise their individual talents and capabilities for further education and training and lifelong learning.

The guidelines outline principles approved by NESA and highlight important planning considerations. Schools should use the guidelines to help make appropriate choices for students in their local context.

Apply for a new VET BEC

Schools need to follow this process to get approval for a new Stage 5 VET BEC and add units of competency.

The Stage 5 VET BECs for cohorts commencing in 2025 are listed in the table below. Principals and RTOs must check course exclusions before entering students in a Stage 5 VET course.

Schools wishing to offer other AQF VET qualifications that may be appropriate for endorsement at the Stage 5 level need to apply for a new course by the closing dates.
