Life skills and practical exam participation

Students undertaking Life Skills courses where the equivalent general education course has a practical exam component are not required to participate in HSC exam performances or submit a HSC project for marking.

Performances

Where it is meaningful and appropriate for students undertaking a Life Skills course to complete a performance and be viewed by markers, schools should contact the Online Testing and Marking team by the end of Term 2 of the examining year.

Provide the following details:

• student name and number
• type of performance and length

For drama group performances, no extra time will be allocated.

HSC markers will not provide formal feedback, and the performance will not be marked.

Projects and submitted works

NESA is unable to mark or provide feedback on projects or works completed by students undertaking Life Skills courses. These works should not be sent to the marking centre or provided to itinerant markers.
