Training for school staff
All staff involved in administering NAPLAN are strongly encouraged to engage in training before the tests in March.
Live online training
Live online training sessions start from Term 4. Registration information will be available early Term 4.
Training videos
Two videos are available in Schools Online:
- NAPLAN coordinator training (approx. 50 minutes)
- NAPLAN test administrator training (approx. 30 minutes)
These videos cover the same content as in the live training sessions. They can be used as an alternative to attending a live training session or to revise the information presented during these sessions.
eLearning modules (self-paced)
eLearning modules are available on NESA learning.
The modules reinforce content covered in the live online training sessions and supplement in-school training of staff.
- Module 1: NAPLAN overview – includes principal’s responsibilities (30 minutes)
- Module 2: NAPLAN coordinator’s role – includes technical preparation (45 minutes)
- Module 3: NAPLAN test administrator’s role (45 minutes).
NAPLAN coordinators should complete all 3 modules.
