NAPLAN and home schooling
Children registered for home schooling in NSW are invited to take part in NAPLAN. Find out if your child is eligible.
Taking part if your child is home schooled
If your child is home schooled in NSW they can take part in NAPLAN. Parents and carers of home schooled children need to opt in to participate in NAPLAN.
NAPLAN will take place from Wednesday 10 March to Monday 22 March 2027.
Enrolments open in Term 4.
To be eligible your child must be:
- registered for home schooling when enrolling for NAPLAN and when the tests take place
- following the NSW curriculum for Years 3, 5, 7 or 9.
