What’s this about?
The Lower Western Zone Bush Fire Management Committee is seeking feedback on a draft bush fire risk management plan (BFRMP) for the Lower Western region in Far West NSW.
A BFRMP is a document that identifies:
- bush fire risk to communities
- ways of reducing the impact of fires across an area to keep people safe and protect the things we value.
The Lower Western Zone Bush Fire Management Committee is made up of fire agencies, land managers and other stakeholders. They have been working hard to find ways to reduce the impact of fires in the Balranald and Wentworth Local Government Areas – protecting lives, homes, businesses, the environment, cultural values and other assets in this region.
View the plan online or at Lower Western Fire Control Centre, Balranald Shire and Wentworth Shire Council Chambers. Your feedback is important. By planning together, we will help shape the bush fire risk management plan for this area for the next 5 years.
