The fee structure below applies to plumbers and drainers requiring inspections by Building Commission NSW in the Sydney, Illawarra, Blue Mountains and the Newcastle area, and are to be paid via the MyInspections page.
The fees payable are defined by clause 13 of the NSW Plumbing and Drainage Regulation 2017 and set out in Schedule 1 Part 1 of the Regulation.
Important inspection fee information
- Inspection fees are per inspection type and not per visit. For example an internal and external drainage inspection conducted during the same inspection visit are still regarded as two inspections.
- In the case of alterations and additions to existing buildings internal and external drainage work would be considered one inspection when, and only when, the external portion of the drainage works is no longer than 3 meters, and does not include construction of additional buildings, such as but not limited to a Studio, Granny Flat, or Garage etc.
- For fees charged for multi-unit development audit inspections booked please refer to the Fees for Multi-Unit Developments document.
