Listed below is some information about DV Notify and how it delivers messages to victim-survivors about the perpetrator's custody status and support services.
What do DV Notify messages look like?
The images below are examples of what some messages from DV Notify will look like. All text messages will be sent from ‘DV Notify’ and email messages from ‘donotreply@dvnotify.nsw.gov.au’.
Is DV Notify secure and private?
DV Notify will never share any information about the victim-survivor with the perpetrator.
All information, including victim-survivors contact details are kept secure and private within NSW Government systems. DV Notify does not share victim-survivors contact details with other people, government services, non-government services. All information that DV Notify receives is securely stored by the Department of Customer Services and follows Privacy and personal information policy.
However, when NSW Police respond to a domestic and family violence incident in NSW, the victim-survivors details are provided to the Safer Pathway program. Safer Pathway is a separate program and is run by different organisations across the state.

DV Notify is owned by Department of Communities and Justice and is operated by Department of Customer Service.
