Short-term vehicle registration

Depending on the vehicle type, you may be able to renew your registration for 3 or 6 months. Find out what you need to know.

Early or late registration renewal

You can renew your registration up to 3 months before it's due and 3 months after expiry. But you must not drive without current registration.

If you're temporarily overseas or interstate, you can renew your registration by post or online.
