Community's creativity shines through the Eurobodalla Regional Hospital art workshops
This year we saw the community’s creativity shine through the Arts in Health Program. More than 200 community members helped shape the identity of the new Eurobodalla Regional Hospital through a series of creative workshops held across the region.
From toddlers as young as two to seniors over 80, locals of all ages took part in 10 workshops hosted in community venues from Batemans Bay to Dalmeny throughout September and October 2025.
Using pigmented inks, brushes, and local flora and fauna as inspiration, participants created more than 300 drawings celebrating the beauty of the area’s coastline, wildlife and natural environment.
Participants shared that they felt relaxed, included, and proud to contribute to the hospital’s design and identity. Their creations will help inspire the envirographics, large-scale artworks created by artist Dr Erica Seccombe, that will be featured throughout the new hospital, creating a welcoming and healing environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Dr Seccombe will incorporate both the physical artworks and the conversations from the workshops into the final designs, ensuring the hospital reflects the spirit and character of the Eurobodalla community.
