Location

Hay is in the western Riverina region of southwest New South Wales, situated on the banks of the Murrumbidgee river and surrounded by vast open grasslands.

With just under 2,500 residents Hay boasts a rich and interesting history and a friendly community and is generally regarded as one of the best wool growing merino regions in Australia.

Getting there

Hay is situated halfway between Sydney and Adelaide and is around 7 hours’ drive from either city, 5.5 hours from Canberra and 5 hours from Melbourne. You can also fly into Griffith City Airport and the drive is 1.5 hours to Hay.
