Location

Leeton is a vibrant town located in the region known as the heart of Australia’s food bowl – the productive Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area of New South Wales.  

With a population of 12,000 Leeton offers a wide diversity of careers in agriculture, food processing and related industry across the Shire.  In addition there is a wide diversity of professional, retail and other service vocations in Leeton for new entrants and experienced people alike. 

Leeton has a range of education options for families including three major high schools (including two boarding schools attracting students from across south West NSW); three primary schools, an independent faith-based school, a special school, and numerous quality pre-school facilities.

Getting there 

Leeton is about 50 minutes east of Griffith, 1.5 hours northwest of Wagga Wagga and 8 hours' drive from Sydney.  Daily coach services are available to Sydney and Melbourne and CountryLink services the Leeton area providing access to Sydney via coach connection to XPT train transfer at Wagga Wagga.

There is the option to fly from the Leeton-Narrandera Airport, located just a short 15 minute drive from town. Rex Airlines operates two regular daily return flights from Sydney into Leeton-Narrandera.
