Our services

Community health services include generalist community nursing, and child and family services with a number of visiting services including physiotherapy, speech pathology, radiography, Aged Care Assessment Team and general counselling. Lockhart also provides community nursing services to The Rock.

Location

Lockhart is a thriving country town located in the Riverina region of New South Wales.  

With just under 3,500 people, the town is a tourist haven, with heritage verandas, etched pavers, a farm art sculpture trail and Australia’s only wool art gallery.

The Lockhart Shire has 3 primary schools, 2 village schools, 2 high schools (1 to Year 10, 1 to Year 12). School buses travel daily from Lockhart and The Rock to Wagga, and boarding school transport also runs to ensure weekends at home. Excellent child care facilities are also available in Pleasant Hill, The Rock and Lockhart.

Lockhart Shire has sports for every season and provides the enthusiast with options including football, tennis, cricket, squash, netball, cycling, mountain biking, bowling, athletics, abseiling, rock climbing, hang gliding, swimming, golf, fishing, horse riding and more. The shire of Lockhart is also within easy driving distance of fantastic water skiing and snow fields.

Lockhart is about 45 minutes west of Wagga Wagga and 6 hours' drive from Sydney.
