Our services 

The Urana Multipurpose Service provides additional services such as visiting physiotherapy, podiatry, dental and women’s health.  The local GP surgery has access to a diabetes educator, dietitian and visiting geriatrician.

Location 

Urana is a small country town located in the Riverina region of New South Wales. Urana is a small, close knit and multicultural community of about 300 people. The Urana district is renowned for its agriculture including sheep, wheat and grain crops.

There are a range of other employment opportunities for partners in farming, local council and retail around other towns such as Lockhart, Narrandera, Jerilderie and Corowa.

 

Future Plans

The Urana Health Services Plan has been updated to reflect the community's health needs in the future.

A Health Services Plan outlines the services required for the next 10 years and makes recommendations about the best way to deliver these services. The plan outlines changes in activity and workforce challenges into the future.  

 

Getting there

Urana is just over an hour's drive to Albury and Wagga Wagga and about 2 hours to Shepparton and 4 hours to Melbourne in Victoria.
