Provide feedback on the Parramatta Light Rail stage 2 enabling works sustainability and design
John Holland is inviting the public to have their say about the Enabling Works sustainability objectives and targets, as well as certain design aspects.
In September 2024, John Holland was awarded the $322 million contract to deliver the Parramatta Light Rail Stage 2 Enabling Works, the first 1.3kms of light rail including the vital public and active transport bridge between Melrose Park and Wentworth Point. Major construction of this bridge is scheduled to start later this year.
While detailed design continues, John Holland is seeking community and stakeholder input into aspects of the project’s sustainability and design outcomes.
Urban Design
John Holland is seeking input into the project’s urban design and landscaping outcomes, specifically the location of public furniture and the types of vegetation to be used. John Holland’s vision is to create a bridge that responds to its unique physical and cultural context, creating new regionally and locally significant connections, and reconnecting to the ecologically and culturally diverse Parramatta River and foreshore areas.
