About the micro-credential
Reverse engineering involves analysing a product or system’s design and functionality to digitally recreate it for a similar or improved version.
Building on the Introduction to Reverse Engineering micro-credential, this course provides deeper insights into how data is collected, processed, and manipulated for specific end uses.
What you will learn
By completing this micro-credential, you will:
- identify and manipulate point clouds
- use manual methods or 3D scanning to set up and reverse engineer items
- convert and manipulate point cloud data into solid models for machining, 3D printing, or quality checks
- evaluate and validate the accuracy of reverse-engineered models against the original objects.
