The NSW Spatial Digital Twin is powered by data stored on or accessed via the Spatial Collaboration Portal, a secure, scalable environment to share, manage and integrate your spatial datasets.
About the Spatial Collaboration Portal
The NSW Spatial Digital Twin uses data stored or federated via API into the Spatial Collaboration Portal (SCP).
Providing a secure and scalable way to share, manage and integrate your datasets with the Spatial Digital Twin, the SCP:
- connects data sources by bringing spatial data together from across government, industry and other partners
- secures and controls access by securely storing data with permissions so the SCP manages who can view or access
- enables data discovery by finding and accessing data for research, planning and analysis
- supports digital twin integration by making data available for visualisation, management and simulation.
- improves data governance by maintaining version control, metadata and sharing permissions.
What users can access
Users of the Portal can benefit from:
- 1000+ datasets including the Foundation Spatial Data Framework (FSDF) themes
- API access - datasets are available via API integration, subject to sharing permissions
- centralised data access to avoid duplicated effort to ensure everyone uses the same authoritative data
- seamless integration through the SCP by connecting with the Spatial Digital Twin for analysis and decision making
- enhanced collaboration, by working across government and industry to deliver better outcomes
- data sharing and security, the SCP sets permissions to manage who can view or access your datasets.
Web maps and dashboards
The Spatial Digital Twin Explorer provides web maps and dashboards that feature interactive tools to help you visualise, explore and understand data.
Maps and dashboards can provide:
- data visualisation - present complex information using maps, charts and graphs in an interactive and intuitive format by filtering, drilling down and exploring different aspects of the data.
- real-time data integration - display live or frequently updated data, allowing for ongoing monitoring and analysis
