About the Project
The Blacktown Local Traffic Project will facilitate upgrades to improve streetscapes, and road and pedestrian safety in the Blacktown LGA. The project will create safer travel by car, bicycle and foot and deliver shading and canopy cover to improve the quality of pedestrian travel.
Project Scope
- Installation of flood lighting at 10 pedestrian crossings in Riverstone, Quakers Hill, Rouse Hill, Kellyville Ridge, and The Ponds.
- Extension of a Median Island on Riverstone Road at the intersection with James Street.
- Path paving along the southern side of Robinson Street between Piccadilly Street and Railway Terrace.
- Green screen tree planting on the northern side of Luxford Road between Daniels Road and Buckwell Drive, and on the southern side of Luxford Road between Daniels Road and Kidd Close in Hassall Grove
