About the Project 

The Blacktown Quality Green and Open Spaces project will feature upgrades to sports fields and community infrastructure across five locations. The project will address the inadequacy, accessibility and amenity of existing infrastructure to service the community and meet future growth demands.

Project Scope

  • Development of disability carparking for improved access to sporting fields at Schofields Park
  • Installation of new cricket wicket nets accompanying the development of the covered cricket practice wicket and park upgrade works at Whalan Reserve, in Whalan
  • Development of community infrastructure in Willmot
  • Installation of new court lighting at tennis courts at Jonas Bradley Reserve in The Ponds
  • Development of a new Half Basketball Court at Chifley Park in Lalor Park
