About the Project
The Mount Druitt Aquatic Centre Renewal Project expands and modernises the current ageing facility to allow the community to access and swim year round. The project includes a major refurbishment of indoor and outdoor spaces, allowing the facility to increase its opening times from six months to 12 months of the year. The revamped pool ensures the community have an accessible refuge from the heat during the warmer days.

- Demolition of existing structures
- New indoor aquatic facilities to enclose the 25m program pool
- New and inclusive amenities and changerooms
- Multi-functional spaces for community purposes including meeting rooms with catering capabilities
- Splashpad/waterplay
- Kiosk
- Landscape embellishment

- Shade structures
- Reposition the perimeter fencing to provide additional open space to the community and allow for direct pedestrian connections throughout the Mount Druitt Town Centre consistent with Councils’ masterplan.
