About the Project

The Glenfield Urban Bike Park​ Project broadens the recreation offer in Seddon and Kennett Park to provide more opportunities for wheeled sports enthusiasts. Seddon and Kennett Park is a major recreation and sporting hub, with recent upgrades creating a well-balanced precinct with a mix of structured and unstructured play offerings. 

The Glenfield Urban Bike Park project proposes a new BMX style track that accommodates users with different skill levels across a range of wheeled activities. Included in the Park will be a bike hub for people learn and connect with others around bike riding and healthy activities. Leveraging existing infrastructure on the site, Glenfield Urban Bike Park maximises the capacity of the Seddon and Kennett Sporting precinct to cater for projected population growth by providing a broad range of outdoor activities for the community.

 

Project Scope

The project delivers:

  • BMX track including base course, track starting point and hub spill out area
  • Hard works including paving, sandstone and drainage
  • Bicycle hub including container, slab, services and fit out
  • Furniture including seats, tables, litter bins and shelter
  • Tree planting
