About the Project
The Canterbury Olympic Ice Rink Roof & Amenities Upgrade Project will deliver a world class training facility, encourage national and state sporting events and provide a safe, enjoyable and affordable active recreational option for the local community.
Project Scope
- Structure of new roof
- 5 multi-purpose/change rooms
- Skate Hire area - including storage and bench seating,
- Ice Surface installed with rink barriers with aluminium welded frames and fascia boards
- Audience facilities, with assisted access, seating and camera stations
- Storage facilities
- New rubber flooring and replacement of LED lighting,

Next steps
- Commencement of tender process for construction works.
- Construction works to commence early-2025, pending Development Application approval.
