About the Project

The Getting Around and Discovering the Hawkesbury Project will introduce a cohesive and consistent signage suite that will ensure navigating the Hawkesbury is smooth and user friendly, and highlights the important places, histories and stories throughout the region.

Richmond town centre was the first location to receive the signage and will be followed by South Windsor and Windsor.

Council will also install 26 entry gateway signs and a range of additional signs in 11 locations including Bilpin, Bligh Park, Clarendon, Colo, Glossodia, Kurmond, Kurrajong, North Richmond, Pitt Town, St Albans and Wilberforce.

Project Scope

The project will include:

  • Design, purchase and installation of at least 20 “Welcome to Hawkesbury” Entry Gateway Signs across 19 locations
  • Design, purchase and installation of at least 65 Town and Village identification blade signs, large and small totems and inlay signs for footpaths across 13 locations including Bligh Park, North Richmond, Kurrajong, Kurmond, Bilpin, St Albans, Glossodia, Wilberforce, Pitt Town, Clarendon, Colo, Windsor and Richmond
  • Access ramps
  • Landscaping
