Fred Caterson Reserve - Upgrade and Refurbishment Project

About the Project

The Fred Caterson Reserve project will upgrade and refurbish playing fields 1, 2 and 3, including upgrading the amenities building and replacing an aging playground and car park. Refurbishment and upgrade of the Fred Caterson Reserve along with proposed capital works related to the showground will transform the of Showground Precinct and Fred Caterson Reserve Precinct into a premier sporting and entertainment hub connected by The Hills Showground Metro Station.

Project Scope

The project will feature:

  • Installation of shaded spectator seating,
  • Shelters over permanent picnic settings
  • Formalised car parking 
  • Refurbishment of existing amenities building.
  • Installation of drinking stations
  • New children’s playground, with natural play elements
  • Ball stop fencing
  • Perimeter and sideline drainage to Fields 2 & 3
