Finlaysons Creek Regional Cycleway Project

About the Project

The Finlaysons Creek Regional Cycleway Project delivers a key missing walking and cycling link along Finlayson's Creek in Wentworthville and Westmead. The link connects the M4 and Prospect Canal cycleways to the T-Way Cycleway and Parramatta Valley Cycleway via a safe and high amenity shared path for residents, workers and visitors.

Project Scope

The project delivers:

  • Separated cycle and pedestrian paths within both the Cumberland and Parramatta local government areas.
  • Boardwalk structure under the Western Rail Line.
  • Clear width bridge over Finlayson’s Creek Canal linking to Water Street Wentworthville.
  • Clear width bridge over Finlayson’s Creek Canal south of Darcy Road.
  • Raised pedestrian and cyclist priority crossing over Wentworth Avenue.
  • Path lighting
  • Tree planting and landscaping
