About the Project
The Lake Parramatta Swimming Area Upgrade Stage 2 Project enhances the amenity, safety, and useability of Lake Parramatta by delivering a safe entry point to the swimming area, additional shade and formal and informal seating areas. The improved access ensures the swimming facility can cater to increased visitor capacity and become an attractive destination for outdoor recreation.
Project Scope
The project delivers:
- Interface with permanent sandy beach and swimming pontoon built in Stage 1
- Safe entry point to the swimming area
- Clear separation between habitat and recreational areas
- Additional shade
- Formal and informal seating areas
- Aquatic vegetation to contribute to efforts to maintain high water quality
