About the Project

The ACU STEM Centre of Education Excellence is a transformational opportunity for community groups, residents and industries in Western-Sydney offering a new bespoke building with contemporary learning settings. Delivering STEM upskilling, including school programs, short courses and microcredentials, the Centre will help meet national STEM priorities and changing workforce demands.

Project Scope

Bespoke building designed for use by communities offering Metaverse, MakerSpace and Collaboration spaces, meeting, classrooms, laboratories and workshop spaces STEM programs:

  • Preschool programs
  • Primary school programs - robotics, coding, girls in STEM, entrepreneurial thinking, Building your own Business
  • Secondary school programs - working with Western Sydney schools to increase the suite of STEM subjects no longer offered due to teacher shortages
  • Professional development for teachers, especially in maths, science, technology, and literacy
  • General STEM skills and awareness for all ages - short courses and microcredentials
