About the Project

The Waterboard Oval Upgrade Project will include a combination of new and improved existing facilities to accommodate a wide range of sports including soccer, cricket/AFL and various sports courts.

Project Scope

The Waterboard Oval upgrade will include the following works - 

  • New/Upgraded multi-purpose amenities building (including male, female, accessible bathrooms, and kitchen facilities)
  • Grandstand / sheltered seating
  • Main oval (to support various sports, including soccer, cricket, AFL - with a footprint of 2x full size soccer fields incorporating mini fields as required, on the second field)
  • Line marking of ovals
  • Car parking (increasing existing capacity, including turning bays, line marking, sealed bitumen, formalised entryway, landscaping, accessible access ramps
  • Landscaping (general landscaping around amenities building, community gardens, gathering spaces, seating, shaded areas)
  • Pedestrian footpaths throughout
  • Utilities Upgrade
  • Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD) installations such as solar panels and water storage to support facility operations
