Give your family budget a boost with vouchers to help with the cost of living. Check your eligibility and apply for Active and Creative Kids or First Lap vouchers.
Active and Creative Kids vouchers
Eligible parents, guardians and carers of school-aged children can now apply for Active and Creative Kids vouchers.
The voucher:
- is valued at $50
- is available twice a year, in terms 1 and 3 for each eligible child
- can be used for eligible active or creative activities with registered providers.
Eligibility
From 2024, you will be able to apply for an Active and Creative Kids voucher if:
- you receive:
- Family Tax Benefit Part A
- Family Tax Benefit Part B or
- both Family Tax Benefit Part A and Part B.
- your child is:
- a NSW resident
- aged between 4.5 and 18 years old
- enrolled in school.

Learn to swim vouchers
Parents, guardians and carers of children aged 3 to 6 years who are not enrolled in school, can apply for a $50 voucher towards the cost of swimming lessons.
You can use the voucher:
- for a program of at least 5 structured and supervised swimming lessons, which are either intensive (daily) or regular weekly lessons
- at any participating business that is an approved First Lap provider
- before 30 June 2024.
You can apply for a voucher for each eligible child.
How to use the vouchers
Once you have applied for your vouchers and are approved, they should appear in the Service NSW app.
Simply choose a participating business registered for your voucher scheme and spend the voucher.
- Log in to the Service NSW App on your mobile device.
- Choose ‘Vouchers’.
- Find the voucher you want to use.
- Show the voucher QR code for the business to scan at payment.
- Your device will show the voucher as being used.
If you don't have a mobile device, you can use a printed voucher or give the business a voucher code instead.

In 2024, there's a new $60 weekly toll cap to help with the cost-of-living. Claims for rebates can be made quarterly through Service NSW.
