Role description converter
The RDC has been developed to help agencies update existing role descriptions to align with the revised NSW Public Sector Capability Framework, reducing the manual effort required to reformat and update role descriptions.
Before you start
- You must be a NSW Government employee to access Sector Link
- The RDC supports Microsoft Word (.docx) files only. PDF files are not supported
- Word documents converted from PDF, and password-protected documents may not be converted properly
- Converted role descriptions must be reviewed before use
- If you are unable to access Sector Link, please contact support to review your access
Important information
- The RDC assists with the conversion of existing role descriptions but does not guarantee a fully completed role description.
- Some manual updates may still be required where source documents contain customised, incomplete or outdated content.
- Agencies remain responsible for reviewing and validating the final content before publication, approval or recruitment activities.
- Processing times may vary depending on the number of files submitted. You will receive a notification when your converted role descriptions are ready for download. Status updates are not provided while files are being processed.
- The role description template used by the RDC has been designed to support accessibility standards. If you encounter accessibility issues, please review the source document first.
